From a clinical point of view, epilepsy occurs when some of the nerve cells in the brain become overactive and fire off uncontrolled random signals.
From a holistic point of view, however, epilepsy is caused by a damaged aura. This is the energy field which surrounds the body and was first photographed using Kirlian photography and in fact it has now become ‘all the rage’ to have one’s aura photographed and interpreted. The second layer, called the astral layer, carries electrical impulses through the first or etheric layer and from thence into the physical body. When the aura is damaged the impulses are impaired, causing a variety of problems such as ADD/ADHD, schizophrenia and epilepsy.
This damage can be caused by shock to the other during pregnancy, trauma at birth, drugs used during birth especially epidurals, vaccination (a case of which is recorded on page 68 of Peter Chappell’s book, Emotional Healing with Homoeopathy) and some orthodox medicines.
It is therefore necessary to re-establish the electric impulses by repairing the damaged aura and although a hands-on approach is best, the following herbal and homoeopathic remedies may well do this without the need for further treatment.
